Poor Riley, she woke up complaining that she had a head ache... I figured it was because she didn't get much rest the night before. I got her dressed, gave her some Tylenol and we all headed to Cracker Barrel for our annual Christmas Eve breakfast. Unfortunately, Riley puked in the parking lot. Scott and I figured it must have been due to her headache and then the drive to the restaurant.... she said she felt better so we played it by ear. Of course as soon as the food came out Riley puked again. Poor thing! Scott was the man and took the brunt of it, and took her into the bathroom to finish and clean her up. I had the woman package up his breakfast and I confiscated a few more of their maple syrup bottles and we headed home for Riley to take a long nap. Reese had this stuff LAST Thursday and it lasted for about 6 hours.
True to form, as soon as Riley woke up and we hung out around the house to rest Riley felt right as rain and we loaded up and headed over to Scott's parents house for Linda's annual lasagna dinner. It was delicious as always and nice low key event. As soon as we got there we all took photos before the kids got WAYYYY WAYYYYYY out of hand. The photos didn't turn out too bad with a tripod and timer!

After we had our delicious meal the girls opened up ONE Christmas Eve gift.... Riley was wanting to dig right into all the gifts, hers or not.... but they both were thrilled to see that we were given 2 more cars for our train at home.

We packed up and headed home where we went right into our Christmas Eve traditions of putting out cookies, carrots and milk for Santa and his reindeer.

Added the new tradition of sprinkling reindeer food out in the front yard that Reese made at preschool last week.

The girls also sat down with Dad and wrote out their letters to santa to hang with their stockings and signed them.

And we finished up the night with me reading Twas the Night Before Christmas while Scott cleaned up the dining room, complete with vacuuming! I love my husband. He said he wanted it to look nice to start out on video.

The kids went fast to sleep and then the Elves helped set everything up, assemble everything and stuff the stockings. The next morning Reese said she heard Santa coming down the chimney!
